On April 27, it was reported that Liaoyang Petrochemical successfully completed the switchover to produce a new type of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-HD5025P), with the first batch of qualified products rolling off the line; these products have since passed customer application testing and gained market recognition. This successful transition effectively integrated the production, supply, and sales chain, further diversified the company's portfolio of high-value-added polyolefin products, and enhanced its competitiveness in the new materials market.
Characterized by high toughness, high-pressure resistance, aging resistance, and a long service life, this product serves primarily as a raw material for geothermal piping and is currently a popular item in the plastics market. To ensure a smooth transition, Liaoyang Petrochemical established an integrated team comprising production, sales, and R&D personnel. The team proactively engaged with downstream customers, simultaneously advancing product application verification and production process optimization. Based on specific customer requirements, the team iteratively refined production formulas, precisely calibrated process parameters, and strictly controlled key operational stages, ultimately developing a mature and reliable industrial production plan.
In early April, Liaoyang Petrochemical initiated the scheduled production switchover on the "B" polymerization line of its polyethylene unit. During production, operators strictly adhered to the established plan, precisely controlling core parameters such as polymerization temperature, pressure, phase ratios, and the feed rates of comonomers and hydrogen. The unit operated stably and under control throughout the process, successfully yielding the first batch of qualified PE-HD5025P. All quality metrics met expectations, and the products rapidly passed downstream application tests.
