Located in Liaoyang, Liaoning Province, PetroChina Liaoyang Petrochemical Company is a massive integrated petrochemical enterprise under PetroChina and a key domestic base for aromatics production and Russian crude oil processing. Established in 1972—and historically responsible for producing China’s first batch of "Dacron" polyester staple fiber—the company is currently transitioning from fuel-oriented refining to materials-oriented chemical production. Its core products include PETG copolyester chips, polypropylene, polyamide resins, and refined adipic acid. Committed to green and low-carbon development, the company has been rated as a Class A enterprise for environmental performance in Liaoning Province. With the output of new chemical materials steadily rising, it is striving to build an industrial landscape featuring a 10-million-tonne refining capacity, a 1-million-tonne ethylene capacity, and a 2-million-tonne aromatics capacity.
